Underage Training
Underage training for 6 to 12 year olds on Fridays at 6.30
Children under 6 are welcome to attend for informal coaching but must be under parent/adult supervision
New coaches are always welcome

Under 16 and Minor training on Monday and Wednesday at 7.30
Under 14 Training on Friday at 7pm
Membership
All players should have their membership paid; membership can be paid to team coaches or any committee member

League Div 1 The Downs 0:12 Killucan 0:9
On Friday evening at home in ideal conditions we played Killucan at home. The first half was a very close game with the sides even at halftime 0:5 to 0:5. On the resumption Killucan scored first and went into a two point lead, with 15 minutes to go the scores were even at 0:8, The Downs dominated the scoring for the final quarter to emerge deserved winners. Team: Brendan Cleary, Niall Nolan, Sean O’Leary, Stephen Cleary, Sean Loughlin, Jack Hogan, Vincent Conneely, Brendan Murtagh, Mark Dalton, Barry Conroy, Tommy Cleary, Noel Molloy, Keith Shanley, Luke Folan, James Conroy. U12 league Group 1 The Downs (Black) 4-6 St Michaels Blues 2-9
The Downs played St Michaels Blues in Ballycomoyle Wednesday evening and won a hard earned win. Team on the night:- Darragh Egerton, Andrew Dalton, Shane O'Rourke, Ryan Briody, Conor Coughlan (C), Peter Murray, Jack Stewart, Andrew Kilmartin, Ian Martin, James Murtagh, Niall Gavin, Naoson Moore, James Monaghan, Eoghan Moore, Philip Doherty, Eoin Stewart, Paul Mooney, Jack Lynch.
U12 league Group 2 The Downs (Amber) 9-8 Delvin 9-7
The Downs played Delvin in the Downs Wednesday evening and eventually won the match by one point. Team on the night:-. Shandonagh visited The Downs on Saturday morning to play our under 10 and 8 teams. All sides put in great performances, but special mention to the under 7s who had their first game of the year.

Registration is now due, any player who has not paid can pay team coaches. Registration with the Ladies Football Club is separate from the Gaa Club.

Under 14 League The Downs :5:6 Clann Gael 4:5
On Thursday last we played Clann Gael at home, in a very close first half The Downs held a two point lead at halftime. The Downs made best use of their possession in the second half and finished the game with a deserved four point win.
