Underage Training
Underage training starts on Saturday 14th from 5-6 and continues on Saturday 21st and 28th it then changes to the usual Friday evenings on 2nd of April from 6.30 to 7.30.

Final Number Of Tickets Remaining
With a limited number of tickets remaining anyone wishing to purchase a ticket should contact Matt Carley or any ticket seller to be sure of a ticket. We would like to thank everyone who has purchased a ticket, the support for the Draw has been remarkable.
Tickets €240 can be paid in full or with a monthly standing order over a year or in quarter payments of €60 There are four draws during the year, with in excess of €25,000 in prizes
The Draw is to fund our next major development - the building of a seated stand with four dressing rooms underneath.

Well done to our under 14 team who over came a strong St Malachys/Ballinagore team, to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
We play Maryland/Tang in Maryland on Sunday 15th at 11pm in the Quarterfinal.

League Div 1 The Downs 1:8 Coralstown/Kinnegad 1:8
On Saturday last in dreadful conditions for football we travelled to our neighbours for our 2nd league game. In a tightly contested first half the sides were level at halftime 0:4 each. The second half saw The Downs go into a 4 point lead but Coralstown/Kinnegad scored 1:2 without reply to leave them a point ahead in the final minutes, but The Downs score the last score of the game and secured a share of the points. Scor Notes
The club hosted the Leinster semi-final on Sunday last, our Set Dancers qualified for the final which will be in Ballymore on Sunday 22nd @6pm. Anyone wanting tickets should contact Scor committee.
The Downs Ladies Football
Indoor Skills Training
The Downs Ladies Football Club is running an indoor Gaelic Football Skills training course in The Downs Gaa Centre on Wednesday evenings 7 – 7.45
This course is aimed at girls who have 12th, 11th or 10th birthdays in 2009.

This training course is supported by Westmeath Sports Partnership under their Girls in Motion initiative. An initiative to encourage girls to participate in sport and continue their involvement through teenage years into adulthood. Studies have shown that participation in team sports is beneficial for girls both physically and socially.

Training for the ladies junior team&U18 is on Monday night at 8pm.New members are especially welcome, come along bring a friend.
The U14 girls training is also on Monday at 6 o clock
