Scor
All roads led to Killarney last weekend for the Scor All-Ireland where our Set Dancers were competiting despite an excellent display and doing their club and county proud they unfortunately had to give second best to the Galway representatives. The club thanks Sarah Moran, Sinead Lynam, Yvonne Murphy, Brenda Deihy, Kevin Flynn, George Coyle, Greg Crowley, Colm Rowan and Alice Deihy for their hard work and being excellent ambassadors for the club. No doubt they will all be back next year for another attempt to bring that allusive All-Ireland back to The Downs. Thanks to Aiden & Joe Connaire and Pauric Keena for providing the music for the dancers, Pauric from the Ballymore club also competited in the Solo Singing. Congratulations to Peter Dolan from Moate All Whites who won the recitation.
Well done to all the large and vocal support from The Downs and Westmeath for making the journey.

The second half was as evenly contested as the first half with both sides trading scores throughout the half. The Downs edged in front by a point with 5 min remaining and looked like they would take the honours.
