Under 10
The under 10 boys are well into their season with several games played in both the North Westmeath League and the Mullingar Area League. To date there has been good performances against St. Lomans, Ballynacargy, St. Malachy’s / Ballynagore, Shandonagh, and St. Pauls. There has also been useful challenge games against St. Mary’s Rochfortbridge and Multyfarnham.
The under 10's were busy on Saturday last, firstly in the morning playing their final Mullingar Area League fixture against Mullingar Shamrocks in Springfield . All teams put in great performances and produced a high standard of football. Then later that evening the lads had the honour of playing in Cusack Park during the half time interval of the senior championship match.

Matches will continue during the summer and blitzes are scheduled for September 5th & 12th - details will be confirmed at training (Friday evenings at 630pm) and new players are always welcome.

In a low scoring first half the sides were level at halftime 0:4 each. As the game went into the final minutes Castledaly held the advantage but an opportunist goal gave The Downs the win. The Downs Ladies Football
Training
Training for the junior and minor ladies continues on Tuesday and Friday at 7.30. New members are always very welcome, come along and bring a friend.
The U14 girls training is on Monday at 6.30 o clock

On Tuesday evening our junior team had to give second best to a more experienced Clan Gael side. Under 10/Under 8
Our under 10s and under 8s played games against St Lomans on Tuesday evening, both games were very enjoyable and sporting. Well done to all the players and thanks to all the parents for their support.
