The Downs 3-13 Shandonagh 1-11
On Sunday afternoon last we played Shandonagh at home and got off to a great start and were leading by 3:4 to 0:4 at twenty minute. Before halftime Shandonagh had reduced the lead to 3:4 to 1:6. The Downs maintained the scoring dominance for the second half adding a further 9 points to Shandonagh’s 7 and emerge worthy winners.

The Downs 2-07 Ballinacargy 1-06
We played Ballinacargy at home on Sunday morning and after a tightly contested first half The Downs went in 2:1 to 0:4 ahead. Despite Ballinacargy’s best affords they could not reduce the deficit in the second half and The Downs emerged deserved winners.

AIDS Mission in Africa
The Downs GAA Club are delighted to welcome Killucan Guild of the ICA with a social evening on Friday, October 28th starting at 8pm to support the Camillian Fathers’ AIDS mission in Uganda. This promises to be a good night with many local guest singers, dancing and a monster raffle. Admission at the door is €10 and tickets are also available in the Clubhouse Bar. |
