Minor County final:                The Downs 2:11          Rosemount 0:5

On Sunday in Cusack Park in ideal conditions for football we retained the minor championship. The Downs dominated the first half opening the scoring  in the third minute and going in at half time 0:5  to 0:0 ahead this score did not reflect the number of scoring opportunities The Downs had. Rosemount came out with greater purpose at the restart scoring two unanswered points The Downs quickly reasserted their control, scoring 1:4 without reply. This was an impressive performance from the goalkeeper to corner forward with every player making a significant contribution. Team: Paul Lynam, Conor Gavin, Darragh Egerton,   Philip Doherty, Conor Duncan, Joseph Moran, Stephen Colgan, Niall Mitchell, Niall Gavin, Conor Murray, Thomas O’Rourke, Sean Loughlin, Adam Loughlin, Dylan Carroll. Subs Used: James Monaghan, Jack Lynch, Philip Martin.

Well done to the coaching team Stephen Cleary, Kieran Carroll and Paddy Walsh.
