STRICTLY COME DANCING

Saturday evening saw the launch of our STRICTLY COME DANCING highlighted by the dancers performing their group dance to the large audience in the clubhouse. We would like to thank all the dancers for participating in this event for the club. It has been highly enjoyable over the past few weeks and with the dancers now paired up the competitive edge may start to show. Remember to get your tickets for the 14th of November, If you would like to sponsor a dancer or dance or take an advertisement in the event programme contact Aiden McGuire 0862532327,any committee member or dancer.

Underage Training

Our underage training finished up for the year on Saturday last well done to all the players who participated for the season, thanks to all the coaches who gave so generously of their time. We also express our appreciation to all the parents who helped out during the year.

Sean Carroll referees another County Final

Congratulations to Sean Carroll on refereeing the Intermediate County Final assisted by his umpires Matt Carley, Kieran Carroll, Paddy Nolan and Pauric Gavin

Results

Under 16 Championship. The under 16s progressed to the championship final with an impressive win over Shannon Gaels where’ll they’ll meet Athlone who had a two point win over Rosemount. 

Fixtures

Minor Final Sunday 11th V Rosemount in Cusack Park.

Sunday sees the Minor team attempt to retain the minor title won last year. With many of last years team eligible again this year there is plenty of experience in the team. Best of luck to the players and coaches Stephen Cleary, Paddy Walsh and Kieran Carroll.

Bingo continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and brings a friend for an enjoyable night’s entertainment.

Our underage training finished this Saturday thanks to the players, coaches and parents who made it such an enjoyable year.

Minor training continues on Friday evenings 7.45 to 9pm.

Strictly Come Dancing

Well done to our our footballers Niamh Moriarity, Sarah McGuire, Leanne Duncan and Aishling Egerton who showed they also have talents on the dance floor when they thrilled the large audience with their performance of  the group dance at the Launch Night.  Best of luck in the competition.

THE DOWNS LADIES 'GAELIC FOR MOTHERS & OTHERS' PROGRAMME

The Downs Ladies Club as part of the ongoing development  of our Club starting up a "Gaelic for Mothers and Others" programme.

Basically this is a programme that encourages mothers and  others (Over 18 and not registered and playing with any  football team) to come to the club learn to play  football/get  fit/meet new people in a non-competitive  social environment .It will be welcome to women from all  areas/all ages (O/18)/all fitness levels  no restrictions  at all and absolutely no experience required.

Haven Loyalty Cards

We are currently distributing Haven Pharmacy Mullingar Loyalty cards –Haven will contribute towards the fundraising of the club from purchases with the Loyalty Card. Cards are available for extended family and friends.

Clothes Collections

The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member. Please ask family, neighbours, friend and co-workers to fill a bag. Clothes can be left in the Blue Bin beside the scoreboard.
