Our lads travelled to Springfield last Thursday evening to take on Mullingar Shamrocks in the division 5 playoff. We started the game slowly and the home side held a comfortable lead at the interval. The margin further extended mid-way through the second half with the home side leading by 7 points. However, our lads gave a battling performance in the latter stages and were unfortunate to come up just short. Full time score 2-12 to 2-11.
