Launch of Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps, 2013:
Uchtarán, Ladies and Gentleman thank you all very much for joining us this morning for the launch of the 2013 Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps, here in Croke Park. As a long suffering Westmeath man my days in Croke Park are few and far between, so it is always nice to have an extra opportunity to make the journey to Croke Park.
I would like to thank Liam O'Neill for his kind words this morning and they are echoed by our experience. We came on board as the title sponsors of the Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps in 2012 - this was our first official partnership with the GAA and we have found the experience for our business and our brands, to be exceptional.
Through our combined promotional efforts last year we saw a surge in camp numbers of 6% with over 82,000 children participating in over 1,000 camps nationwide.
From a Kellogg's point of view the partnership has worked brilliantly and we are delighted that families have latched on to the €5 discount available on packs of Kellogg's Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies, during the run up to the camps.
We have carried out research with parents before launching the camps this year and it is encouraging to learn that 85% of parents believe that the Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps offer ‘good value' for money at €55 per camp. The price of the camps will remain the same this year and once again a €5 discount is available on special packs which are available in store now.
I want to thank our Kellogg's Cúl Camp Champions who are with us today - we are delighted to be supported by such inspirational athletes -
I want to thank all of our Kellogg's Cúl Camp Champions for joining us here today to launch the 2013 programme.
I know that they will all be supporting the camps and working with children within their own communities and we hope that with their support and the support of the 2,100 voluntary coaches involved nationwide, that we can grow our participation numbers even further in 2013.
